Lawrence Lee “Lark” Collins age 61 of Hillsboro, Ohio died Monday, February 17, 2003 at the Crestwood Nursing Center. He was born September 18, 1941 in Hillsboro, Ohio the son of the late Wendell C. and Martha (Kirk) Collins. Mr. Collins was an auto mechanic and a talented artist with works in oils and pastels, pencil drawings and woodcarvings. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Sarah “Sally” and Robert Henning of Los Lunas, New Mexico, two brothers and sisters-in-law, William W. and Mary Jo Collins of Hillsboro, Richard D. “Dick” and Fran Collins of Hillsboro and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents one brother, Robert Collins, preceded him in death. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Deacon Len Parker will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Prayer services will be held at 7:45 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Highland County 61 East Main Street, Wilmington, Ohio 45177.
