Virgil N. Claibourn age 87 of Hillsboro died Monday morning, September 26, 2005 at the Heartland of Hillsboro. He was born July 26, 1918 in Allensburg, Ohio the son of the late William H. and Elizabeth (Dollinger) Claibourn. Mr. Claibourn was a retired machinist with the Gross Feibel Company and had served in the U. S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a member of the Church of Christ and the Highland County Senior Citizens. He is survived by his wife, Ida (Brewer) Claibourn whom he had married on May 29, 1951 and several cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Delbert Claibourn. Graveside services will be held for friends and family at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Lynchburg Masonic Cemetery. The Highland County Honor Guard will present honors at the cemetery. John Porter will officiate. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. The Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro is serving the family.
