Herbert Denver “Denny” Carson, age 76, of Leesburg, dies Saturday, September 6, 2003 at Heartland of Hillsboro.  He was born April 17, 1927 in Brown County, Ohio the son of the late Howard and Florence (Donohoo) Carson.  He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during W.W. II, and also served in the Air Force Reserve, he worked for nearly 30 years as a Plumber and Steam Fitter at the Clinton County Air Force Base, he and his wife owned and operated Carson Plumbing and Heating and Mildred’s Camper Sales in Leesburg, was a member of the Wilmington Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1224, was retired Air Force Government Employee, and was an avid fisherman and hunter.  He is survived by his wife Mildred (Smith) Carson, to whom he married May 31, 1945 in Maysville, Kentucky; his daughter, Shirley P. and her husband Carl Fetters of Leesburg; his sons, Lawrence E. and his wife Linda Carson of Leesburg, and Richard D. and his wife Gretchen Carson of Leesburg; his brothers, Floyd and his wife Betty Carson of Cleveland, Norman and his wife Jane Carson of Port Clinton, Vernon and his wife Maxine Carson of Greenfield, and Myron and his wife Golda Carson of Henderson, Nevada; his sister-in-law Joyce Carson of Leesburg; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one brother, Linley Carson.  Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2003 at the Turner Funeral Home, Leesburg.  The Rev. Robert Carroll and Pastor John Fitzgerald will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Highland Cemetery where the Highland County Honor Guard will provide military honors.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home, Leesburg.  Memorial donations may be made to the Leesburg Area Life Squad, P.O. Box 231, Leesburg, Ohio 45142, or American Diabetes Association, P.O.
