Linley H. Carson age 65 of Highland, Ohio died suddenly Saturday, October 19, 2002 at his residence. He was born July 3, 1937 in Highland, Ohio the son of the late Howard and Florence Donahoo Carson. He was a 1955 graduate of Xenia Central High School, a nine year Veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Vietnam Era. Mr. Carson had retired as a Vice-President of 5/3 Bank of South West Ohio and was a member of the Leesburg Lions Club. He is survived by his wife Joyce Pitzer Carson whom he married April 2, 1958 in Highland, Ohio, two sons and daughters-in-law, Doug and Janet Carson of Hillsboro, Greg and Michele Carson of Highland, a daughter Debra Hawkins of Highland, five brothers and sisters-in-law, Floyd and Betty Carson of Austintown, Ohio, Denver and Mildred Carson of Leesburg, Norman and Jane Carson of Port Clinton, Ohio, Vernon and Maxine Carson of Greenfield, Myron and Golda Carson of Las Vegas, Nevada, eight grandchildren, Eddie Stewart, David Stewart, Josh Carson, Jennifer Carson, Michael Creed, Nathan Hawkins, Kyle Carson and Shaylee Carson. Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at the Leesburg Friends Church. Pastor John Fitzgerald will officiate. Burial with military honors presented by the Highland County Honor Guard will follow in the Highland Cemetery. Friends may call 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. Monday at the Turner Funeral Home in Leesburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the Athletic Department of the Fairfield Schools c/o 5/3 Bank in Leesburg or Hillsboro.
