Frances E. Carrier age 86 of Findlay, Ohio died Monday evening, December 27, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Center in Arlington, Ohio. She was born April 22, 1924 in Hillsboro, Ohio the daughter of the late Frank and Irene Hall Ashmore. Mrs. Carrier had worked at the Haggerty Shoe Store, Ayres Drug Store and Limes Jewelry Store while living in Hillsboro. She is survived by her husband of sixty-five years, Lewis Carrier, one daughter, Cindy (Elgar)  Brown of Williamston, Michigan, one son, Craig (Cheryl) Carrier of Findlay, Ohio, six grandsons, three great grandchildren and one sister, Jane (the late Hugh) Turner of Hillsboro.  While living in New Market, Fran and Lew were Foster parents for 17 babies before they were adopted. Fran loved people and her calling card read “Friendly Fran From Findlay, Ohio, Flag City, U.S.A.” In her later years, Fran lead Alzheimer patients in exercises and swam with special needs children at the Y.M.C.A. She was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church. Fran will be missed by family and friends. She was a very special lady.  Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 31st at the New Market Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverend Judi Wiley will officiate. There will be no visitation. The Turner & Son Funeral Home is serving the family.
