Charles Edward
Butler,
age 71, of the New Petersburg area, died Friday, November 10, 2006 at
Highland District Hospital. He was
born February 27, 1935 in Highland County the son of the late Adrion and Jesse
D. Hawkins Butler. He retired as
part owner of Butler Builders, and worked part time for the Highland County
Water Company. He is survived by
one son Jim (Shannon Bunner) Butler of Peebles; two daughters, Charlene (David)
Binegar of Bainbridge, and Teresa (John) Sharon of Springfield; eight
grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; very special friend Nancy
Hofferbert of Hillsboro; and sister-in-law Norma Butler of Greenfield.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded by his wife, Wanda Jean
Stratton Butler in October of 1965; grandson Toby Lee Wilson; two sisters, Nancy
Carroll Butler and Barbara Jean Butler; brother Robert Ford Butler; and father
and mother-in-law Howard and Leora Stratton.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at the
Turner & Son Funeral Home, Hillsboro. Rev.
Chuck Shonkwiler of the Hillsboro First United Methodist Church will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Gilboa Cemetery in New Petersburg.
