Paul E. Burt, Sr., age 75, of Hillsboro, died Wednesday afternoon, February 7, 2007 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati.  He was born October 15, 1931, in Logan, Ohio, the son of the late Alma and Lena (Heimsworth) Burt.  He was a heavy equipment operator and was former co-owner and operator of the Fisherman’s Corner bait shop which he operated with his wife for many years at Rocky Fork Lake.  On August 16, 1993, in Catlettsburg, Kentucky, he married Helen (Jones) Burt, who survives. He is also survived by two sons, Paul E. Jr. and his wife Viola Burt of Radcliff, Ky., Bill and his wife Melinda Burt of Westerville, a step-daughter, Kathy and her husband Robert Wear of Felicity, two step-sons, Randy and his wife Charlotte Gilbert of Hillsboro, Wendell and his wife Kimberly Gilbert of Hillsboro, one brother, John (Linda) Burt of Columbus, one sister Pat (Jim) Cullison of Nelsonville, seven grandchildren, Stephanie (Tom) Smith of Radcliff, Ky., Paula (Russell) Gardener of California, Kristina Burt of Pleasantville, Daniel Burt of Westerville, Kim Burt of Westerville, Mike Burt of Canton and David Burt of Marengo, four great grandchildren, as well as several step grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gary Burt, a step-son, Billy Gilbert and three sisters.  Funeral services for Mr. Burt will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2007 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.  Pastor Bob Petty will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery.  Friends may call from 12:00 noon until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home in Hillsboro.
