John L. Brunner, age 67, of Hillsboro, died Sunday, July 20, 2003 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio. He was born April 26, 1936 in Newark, Ohio the son of the late John and Lillian Groves Brunner. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force, serving during the Korean Conflict, and a life member of AmVets Post #61. He is survived by his wife, Annabelle Deyo Brunner; his children, Donald Lee (Greta) Fout of Porter, Texas, Sharon (Daron) Davis of Newark, Ohio, Terry (Cindy) Fout of Wilmington, Ohio, Brenda (Vern) Damron of Lynchburg, Ohio and James Edward Perkins of Hillsboro; his grandchildren, Rod (Susie) Davis, Scott (Kim) Davis, Brian (Sandra) Davis, George Pack, Melissa (Nathan) Powell, Billie Jo Sadler, Tracie Luckett, David Terrence Fout and Beth Ann Fout; 21 great grandchildren; brothers-in-law George (Bea) Fout of Columbus, Ohio and Jack Deyo of Hillsboro; special friends Jack (Rose) Thompson of Hillsboro, Robert (Virginia) Shaw of Hillsboro, Terry (Gwen) Patterson of Dayton and Tom Patterson of Dayton; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 28, 2003 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home, Hillsboro. The Rev. Wiley Perkins of the Samantha Free Will Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memory Gardens where the Highland County Honor Guard will provide Military Honors. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the Turner & Son Funeral Home.
