Leona L. Brewer age 85 of Lynchburg died Thursday, October 23, 2003 at the Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington. She was born June 25, 1918 in Buford, Ohio the daughter of the late Worley and Ruth (Lewis) Landen. Mrs. Brewer had worked as a bookkeeper for the Fairley Hardware Store in Lynchburg. She was a member of the Allensburg Church of Christ and the Highland County Senior Citizens. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ruthetta and David McCall of Lynchburg, daughter-in-law, Janet Moore of Cave Creek, Arizona, two sisters and a brother-in-law, Kathleen Kress of  Loveland, Winifred and James Prenat of Miamisburg, eight grandchildren, Marty, Doug and Jeff McCall, Tawnya West, Michele Jones, Mikki Falk, Rikki Chasse and Travis Brewer, thirteen great grandchildren, Joshua, Jeffrey, Dawn, Lauren, Bransen and  Bailee McCall, Jaclyn, Mikaila and Zackari Jones, Casie Caplinger, Colt West, Chase Brewer, Rylee Chasse and one great great granddaughter, Gwendolyn McCall. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Brewer on February 22, 1994, one son, Richard Brewer in May 1980 and one brother, William Landen. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Bob Stevens and Ed Bousman will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lynchburg Joint Fire and Rescue, P. O. Box 355, Lynchburg, Ohio 45142 or to the Allensburg Church of Christ, 7105 Abernathy Road, Lynchburg, Ohio 45142.
