Ralph C. Blevins age 52 of the Allensburg Community died Tuesday morning, October 22, 2002 at the Highland District Hospital. He was born January 11, 1950 in West Liberty, Kentucky the son of the late Elmer and Martha Phillips Blevins. He was employed with the Blevins Sod Farm. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1161 and a life member of the VFW Post 9094 and the AmVets Post 61. He was a U. S. Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam Era. He is survived by his wife Phyllis, his step-father, Andrew Jackson of Lynchburg, three daughters and a son-in-law, Regina Hatch and Christine Blevins of Hillsboro and Heather and Jay Jenkins of Gallipolis, two sons, Nick Blevins and Shane Lunsford of Hillsboro, four grandchildren, Jessica Hatch, Samantha Askren, Camryn Blevins and Kaylee Lunsford, two brothers and sister-in-law, Jack and Angel Blevins of Hillsboro, Richard and Kim Blevins of Hillsboro and sisters and brothers-in-laws, Treva Young of Hillsboro, Norma and Ron Smalley of New Vienna and Andrea and Rick Clemons of Hillsboro. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Donald L. Adams, one nephew, Mark Chestnut, five uncles and three aunts. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Rev. Wiley B. Perkins will officiate. Burial with military honors presented by the Highland County Honor Guard will follow in the High Top Cemetery in Samantha. Friends may call on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Eagles Memorial services will be held on Friday at 7:45 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
