Richard Allen Blair Sr. age 70 of Hillsboro died Tuesday, April 22, 2003 at the Heartland of Hillsboro. He was born August 7, 1932 in Hillsboro, Ohio the son of the late George and Louise (Williams) Blair. Mr. Blair was retired as a molder from the Blanchester Foundry. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife, Helen Louise (Clemons) Blair whom he had married on April 2, 1961 in Hillsboro, daughters and son-in-law, Patricia and Lonnie Burns, Pauletta Augustin and Sandra Blair all of Hillsboro, sons and daughters-in-law, Richard Jr. and Amy Blair, Rodney and Penny Blair of Hillsboro and Robert Blair and his fiancée Mindi Kienzle of Batavia, sixteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren, five step-great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, one brother, Paul Blair and one grandson, Stanley Burns, preceded him in death. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the New Hope Baptist Church in Hillsboro. The body will lie-in-state for one hour prior to services at the church. The Rev. Wendell Harewood will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.

I was very close to Richard aka grandpa i wish i could of been at his funeral but i had to babysitt but I know that when ever i needed him he would be in my heart
