Russell Beekman age 74, of Hillsboro, died Saturday, September 21, 2002 at the Highland District Hospital. He was born April 16, 1928 in Waverly, OH. the son of the late Charles Francis and Zella Mae Smith Beekman. He is a retired Lebanon Correctional Institute guard, a Korean Conflict Army Veteran, and the former manager of the Hillsboro Pike Natural Gas Co. He is survived by his wife, Monna Neal Beekman whom he married May 1, 1976 in Reno, Nevada, one son, Randy Beekman of Peebles, two daughters, Brenda Beekman of Tulsa, OK., Beth Ann Searls of Hillsboro, two step children, Marcia Richards of Reading, CA, Rodney Allen of Sebastopol, CA., two sisters, Norma Brady and Dorothy Beekman and one brother, Lawrence Beekman all of Jasper, OH., 9 grandchildren and 9 step grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Bessie Beekman and six brothers, Paul, Golden, Everett, Lloyd, George and Pearl Beekman. Visitation will be held 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Entombment will take place in the Royal Oak Chapel Mausoleum in Lebanon.
