Monna Lou Beekman age 71 of Hillsboro died early Saturday morning, November 2, 2002 at the Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro. She was born January 8, 1931 in Athens, Ohio the daughter of the late Waldo and Winnie Edith (Cline) Neal. Mrs. Beekman had been a secretary with the Lebanon Correctional Institute. She was a member of the Hillsboro Chapter Order of Eastern Star #441. She is survived by one daughter, Marcia Richards of Redding, California, one son, Rodney Allen of Sonoma, California, nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one brother, Billy Neal of Nelsonville, Ohio and one sister, Donna Winefordner of The Plains, Ohio. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Beekman on September 21, 2002 and by one brother, Jack Neal. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home Hillsboro. Entombment will be at the convenience of the family on Wednesday at the Heritage Hills Memorial Park and Mausoleum in Springboro.

I WAS VERY SADDENED TO HEAR ABOUT MOMMA. I DID NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS AND I HAD SENT HER AN EMAIL ABOUT RUSSELL AND THEN FOUND OUT THAT SHE HAD PASSED AWAY ALSO. I WORKED WITH MOMMA AT THE PIKE NATAURAL GAS DURING THE 60'S. MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO ALL OF HER FAMILY.
