Richard D. “Dean” Bailey, age 77, died Saturday, December 9, 2006 at Anderson Mercy Hospital.  He was  born March 9, 1929, in Highland County, the son of the late Joseph Charles and Lucille (Haynie) Bailey.  He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served during the Korean Conflict.  He was retired from Cincinnati Milacron with over twenty five years of service.  He was an avid gardener, woodworker and was an excellent mechanic.  He is survived by a son, Gary (Elizabeth Kinkade) Bailey of Indiana, Pennsylvania, a sister June (Franklin) Evans of Washington Court House, two brothers-in-law, Charles Griffith of Hillsboro, Larry Griffith of Fairborn, as well as several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of over fifty-one years,  Eleanor Mae Bailey, who passed away October 21, 2001, and two sisters, Janet Miller and Charlene Thompson.  Graveside funeral services for Mr. Bailey will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at the Hightop Cemetery.  Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro
