Betty Jean Bailey age 81 of Hillsboro died Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at the Jewish Hospital in Kenwood. She was born August 31, 1923 near Winchester, Ohio the daughter of the late Harley and Della Mae (Surber) Hamilton. Mrs. Bailey had retired from Candlelite Corporation in Leesburg. She was a member of the Centerfield Friends Church and had attended Calvary’s Cross Community Church in Hillsboro. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Twila Jane and Gary Smith of Hillsboro, two sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne E. and Mary Bailey of Hillsboro, Marty and Cheryl Bailey of New Martinsburg, eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, six sisters, Jane Morrow of Hillsboro, June Whaley of Sarasota, Florida, Donna Mae Helwagen of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, JoAnne Rings of Groveport, Ohio, Pat Norcross of Greenfield, Linda Wright of Indianapolis, Indiana and four brothers, Donald Hamilton of Daytona Beach, Florida, Paul Dean Hamilton of Cincinnati, James Hamilton of Leesburg and Terry Hamilton of Louisville, Kentucky. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Bailey on July 1, 2002 and two brothers, Charles A. and Hubert Hamilton. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 13th at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Rev. John Laufer will officiate. Burial will follow in the High Top Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
