William Angus Armour age 82 of Hillsboro died Sunday October 22, 2006 at the
Heartland of Hillsboro. He was born February 6, 1924 in Dayton, Ohio the son of
the late Angus Alexander and Florence Belle Morris Armour. Mr. Armour had owned
and operated Armour’s Lawn and Garden in Centerville and had served the City
of Centerville as the Chief Building Inspector for several years. He was a
United State Navy Veteran serving in World War II. He was a member of the
Belfast United Methodist Church and the Highland County Senior Citizens. He is
survived by his wife, Hazel Irene Hart Armour whom he had married on September
3, 1948 at the Grace United Methodist Church in Dayton, Ohio. Also surviving are
two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark William and Penny Armour of Kettering, Dean
Alan and Kandy Armour of Bastrop, Texas, one daughter and son-in-law, Carol Jean
and Greg Cole of Centerville, four grandchildren, Erin and Jason Farr of Dayton,
Sean Alexander Armour of Kettering, Bryan William and Brandi Cole of Dayton and
Dustin Angus Armour of Bastrop, Texas, one great granddaughter, Gabrielle Cole
of Dayton and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was
preceded in death by two brothers, Bob and Don Armour and one sister, Marjorie
Shewmon. Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 25th at
the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. The Reverend Ken Woleab will
officiate. Burial with military honors presented by the Highland County Honor
Guard will follow in the Prospect Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from
11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
