Joyce L. Allbright, age 66, of Hillsboro, died Tuesday, August 8, 2006 at her residence with her family by her side. She was born November 12, 1939 in Blanchester, Ohio the daughter of Kendall and Lucille Washburn Crary. She was member of the Belfast United Methodist Church where she was active in the choir, and had worked for Mac Tools in Washington C.H. and the Medicine Shoppe in Hillsboro. She was a talented artist who enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. She is survived by her husband John F. Allbright, to whom she married December 21, 1973; mother Lucille Washburn Crary of Hillsboro; children Debbie and her husband Mandel Montgomery of Belfast, Mike and his wife Cinda Collins of Martinsville, Christy and her husband John Hardin of New Vienna, Tom Smith and his companion Lisa Morgan of New Holland, Doug Allbright of Xenia, Anita and her husband David Ryman of New Carlisle, and Susan and her husband Jack Kirsch of San Antonio, Texas; twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister Sharon Johnson of Fayetteville; brother Larry and his wife Jan Crary of Lynchburg; several nieces and nephews including a special nephew Todd Johnson; and a host of friends including a number of friends in Florida. She is preceded in death by her father Kendall Crary and a son Larry Blanton. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 12, 2006 at Turner & Son Funeral Home, Hillsboro. Ken Woleab and Terry Washburn will officiate. Burial will follow in the Prospect Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. What a heartbreaking loss. I hold you all in my thoughts and will always remember Joyce's fabulous luncheon she made for her long lost California cousin. I intend to make a memorial donation to the American Cancer Society in Joyce's name.
